Living on the Monterey Peninsula
Welcome to the Monterey Peninsula. From the most beautiful meeting of Land and Sea to the vistas of the Pastures of Heaven the Monterey Peninsula offers a magical place to call home. This is a diverse area made up of different cities and many micro climates. We are well known for the quaint beach town of Carmel-by-the-Sea, the wine growing region of Carmel Valley, Historic Monterey with Old Fisherman’s Wharf and Cannery Row, Pebble Beach with the Lodge, the Inn at Spanish Bay and its many famous golf courses, the last hometown of Pacific Grove, the dramatic Big Sur coast and Salinas’s agricultural salad bowl. The Monterey Peninsula offers culture, beaches, great shopping, fine dining, many area parks, sports and the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The educational system is outstanding with both excellent public and private school choices. The area offers higher education at Monterey Peninsula College and California State University Monterey Bay.
